Joe Dunn has spent his career representing people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. His practice focuses on serious personal injury and wrongful death matters, including catastrophic injuries, medical negligence, civil rights claims, and cases involving governmental entities.

In addition to representing injured individuals, Joe has defended healthcare providers, individuals, and insured parties in complex litigation. He has also been retained by insurance companies to represent their interests. This experience gives him a clear understanding of how cases are evaluated and defended, and how decisions are made on the other side.

Joe is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction held by a small percentage of attorneys in Texas. He has been selected as a Texas Super Lawyer for more than 15 years and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Over the course of his career, he has handled cases resulting in more than 315 million dollars in settlements and verdicts. This includes a 125-million-dollar jury verdict in a product liability case against Volkswagen and Audi, one of the largest of its kind in Bexar County.

Joe Dunn

For more than 36 years, Joe Dunn has dedicated his legal career to helping individuals and families navigate some of the most difficult challenges of their lives. Drawing on decades of courtroom experience and a background in biochemistry, Joe brings both legal skill and technical understanding to complex cases. A graduate of St. Mary’s University School of Law and Texas A&M University, he is committed to providing personalized representation and pursuing justice for those harmed by the negligence or misconduct of others.

He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Fewer than two percent of lawyers practicing in Texas hold this distinction. Joe has been repeatedly recognized by his peers as one of the top personal injury trial lawyers in the State of Texas, being named a Texas Super Lawyer for more than 15 years and selected to be a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an organization recognizing the top 2 percent of trial lawyers within the United States.

In 2016, Joe and his friend and former partner, Jeff Wigington, obtained a $125,000,000 verdict against Volkswagen/Audi. This verdict is considered the largest automobile product liability verdict in the history of Bexar County, Texas, and one of the largest against Audi. In his career Joe has been a part of the litigation team which won jury verdicts well over $315,000,000.  He has also obtained settlements for his clients in the tens of millions of dollars.
